ABOUT ME

My Story

I have always had a fascination with Acupuncture, and after reading several articles in newspapers and magazines, discovered what a wonderful healing therapy it is. I had already decided on a career change I and found that Salford University had just started a course in Traditional Chinese Medicine (Acupuncture) and hence started my journey to becoming a Traditional Chinese Acupuncturist.

The course lasted over three years and I gained a First Class Honours degree.

After finishing University I continued my studies at the No1 Teaching Hospital in Tianjin, China with some of my colleagues and our wonderful Tutor Dr Cai.

This Hospital was established in 1954 and is the earliest and the largest medical organisation of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Tianjin. It is named as the National Clinical Research Centre of Acupuncture and Moxibustion and it is one the best hospitals in China.

I found my time in China to be an enlightening experience, sampling the culture and visiting the country where it all started several thousand years ago. During my time there I gained valuable experience studying in a Traditional Chinese Hospital where the vast majority of treatment consisted of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine, gaining a Certificate in Traditional Chinese Medicine.

As part of my practice and philosophy I continue to study and do research to learn more about this wonderful and fascinating treatment in order to heal my patients empowering them to live better and healthier lives.

If you need a positive and caring Acupuncture Therapist, please don’t hesitate to reach out to find how I can help you heal and revitalize yourself.

I am a fully accredited and insured member of the British Acupuncture Council and I adhere to their strict guidelines.
